Potty training!

We did it, officially! I decided that it would probably be easier to have only one baby in diapers at a time, so off to potty training. Avery did great and caught on really fast. Its pretty safe to say that she is doing amazing and I will only have one baby in diapers!! Yeah!! I am so proud of my little girl!

Happy Birthday Avery

Last weekend we had Avery's 2nd Brithday party. It was so much fun to have all of her friends over to celebrate. Avery had so much fun playing with her friends, eating ice cream, and opening her presents. We just cant believe that our little munchkin is already 2. There will be more pictures to come and a tribute to our cute girl. We just did her 2 year old pictures and cant wait to post them. But for now, enjoy!

Avery does not like cake so we did Ice Cream and fruit pops. They were a big hit. I have to say that I probably had a solid 3-4 of them.

I think that Avery tried on every pair of shoes at the party.

Jeff was our official BBQer.

Just having some Mellon

Avery was so glad to have so many friends at her party. Tess is one of Avery's favorite friends. She does not go a day without asking if she can play with Tess.

Cousins Maggie and Olivia.

Zac and Avery are only 3 weeks apart and have so much fun together!!

Lannah, Maelee and Nixion just being cute for pictures.

Aiden and Claire are two of Avery's friends from church whom she loves to play with.

Thanks to everyone for coming!!

Lightning Mcqueen

Yes, Lightning Mcqueen is the new big thing in our house. It is shocking how much Avery loves him. She has a little car that she wraps in a blanket or a sock and takes everywhere with her. She feeds him and puts him to bed. It is actually pretty darn cute. We were walking past a Payless shoe store the other day and Avery found these slippers and just about died. I basically had to buy them because she was running all over the store wearing them. I don't know what her obsession is with "boy toys" but she loves them. Her Buzz Lightyear toy is the next on the list of favorites. She just cracks us up.

Our little lady loves to play with play dough.

Whoops!! Don't tell my daddy.

Another new tree

I have been wanting to make a tree for Avery's room for a long time now and thought that I should get it done before this new baby comes. It is not finished yet because I am planning on putting longer branches on it and some bird nests and birds. But I am pretty happy with it. Thanks to my mom and sister I was able to get done in a few days what would have taken me at least a week by myself.

31 weeks and counting

Its official, I feel like a fat kid. I remember getting to this point when I was pregnant with Avery and just feeling like everything was getting harder to do. I am having a good pregnancy though and I really have nothing to complain about. The doctor says that all is well and that everything looks great.

At the park

Flippies, flops, mommies shoes.. whatever you call them, our little one loves them. While we were in Utah, we lost one of Avery's shoes and I didnt think that it would be a big deal, but I was so wrong. She kept telling me, "Mommie, one shoe, one shoe. Oh, no!" It turns out, if she does not have her flippies to wear, then just just wears mine. So, we had to order her some more.

Red car, white truck, red baby bus, tractor... these are just a few of the things that I hear in the back seat while I am driving. Avery knows her colors and loves using them to describe the cars, trucks and busses that we pass. It is very cute to hear her talk about what she sees.

Avery runs everywhere, literally. Every once in a while I go on a walk with a friend of mine and there Avery is just running next to the stroller. HA!

Swings, swings, swings... why is it that now that Avery can run around and play on her own, she loves the swings. But when she was little and could not walk around, she just hated the swings. Go figure. She sure is loving the big girl swings now though and she rides them every way possible.

Family Reunion

This last week we packed up our little family and made the long drive up to Utah. The Silvester side was having their family reunion near Yellowstone and we were excited to get to go this year. We spent the first few days in Utah where we were able to spend lots of time with family and friends. And then made the trip up through Idaho for our family reunion. We had so much fun hanging out at the lake, playing games, and chasing around our very active toddler. We also spent a day and drove up to Jackson Hole and did some shopping. By the time the reunion was over, we were ready to go sleep in our own beds. Over all we had a really good time. On the way home we stayed the night in Vegas and went to Mandalay Bay and took Avery through the Aquarium to see the sharks. It was too bad that it was pitch black in there or I would have got some good shark pictures, but all is well. Anyways, we are very Happy to be home, but just loved our little vacation!

Just pushing my monkey on the swing. No big deal.

It was not soon after we arrived that Avery made a b-line for the swing set. And it was exactly where she stayed for the remainder of our trip.

Avery just helping me do some painting.

Since we had not been to Utah in a long time, we thought that we would stop off and see some old friends that were living in Utah. We were able to enjoy a wonderful dinner and hang out with one of Jeffs friends James from high school, his wife Martha and their very cute kids. Avery just loved playing with little Lindy.

It was fun to take a short trip to visit Alicia and her little family also. We got to go to dinner and ice cream just hang out and chat. Avery and Hailey have the same birthday and it was so cute to see them play with each other. During dinner the dads had to take the girls for a little walk so us moms could finish eating and apparently Avery and Hailey held hands the entire time while they were walking around. So Cute!!

We also got to stop through Logan on our was back from Wyoming and see a good friend Lauren and her little one Cali.
