Salsa, really?

So, Avery will basically eat anything. It is great. The other day I made salsa and was having some in the kitchen and Avery walked up to me and was pulling on my leg. I picked her up and she leaned in to get a bite of what mom was eating. Anyways, I gave her a little bite and she was seriously hogging on salsa. And it was not the most mild salsa I have ever had. I am so gratefull for a baby who is such a good eater.

I need some help with some baby shower games. I am throwing a shower for a friend and I want all your ideas on some good games!! Thanks.

Camping!!

We all went camping a few weeks ago and I am finally getting around to putting pictures on the blog. But, here they are. We had a good time hanging out with family and playing in the water. And Avery did surprisingly well.







So, even though the water was freezing, Avery loved it. I pulled her out at one time because she was shaking and her feet and legs were freezing, but she clawed her way back in. Then I turn my head for a minute and she had rocks in her mouth. It was pretty funny.

Happy Independence Day!

Hope everyone have a good 4th. We had a dinner/pool party at my parents house. It was fun just to hang out and relax. Plus it is so hot here and it was great to get in the pool. I am lucky and glad that Avery loves that water so much. She is fearless. I am going to have to keep an eye on this one.

Well my camera sucks and I caught it at the wrong moment. But, Avery is walking. Her best record so far is 11 steps. Yeah!!! Its really cute. She loves crawling up the stairs at my parents house. She just crawls around so fast it is really unbelievable.

Avery loves to "read" books. She turns the pages and feels all the fuzzy parts of the books. Its quite cute.

You are all probably wondering about the bruise on her head. Holy cow it was so sad. She is taking some steps on her own now and I just want to put a helmet on her head or some bubble wrap or something. She totally fell and hit her head on a chair. It was horrible.

Mud Run

This last Saturday was the Mud Run here on the Naval Air base in Lemoore. It was a 5mile run through the mud. It was so much fun. We literally had to swim through mud neck deep at some points during the run. There was walls to climb over, tunnels to climb through, crawling on your hands and knees through the mud, and rope swings. It was crazy. These pictures are of me, my sister Kilean and my friend Ali Ross. We would have taken more pictures, but sure enough our battery died. Gotta love it. Anyways, we literally had to duct tape our shoes to our feet. It was so hard because the mud was 2-3 feet deep in some places. We had so much fun though. It was the hardest 5 miles I have ever run. No joke. Our shoes were caked with mud and so were our clothes. I think we weighed an extra 20 pounds. After the race there were fire trucks spraying people off. Next year we are thinking unitards. You know, the ones that triathlon runner wear. The ones that are all spandex and have just a hole cut out for your head. It was a blast.

Harry Potter

Well, my parents moved and in their new house they built a Harry Potter room under the stairs for Avery. It is really cute. She has a bunch of toys in there. It is pretty funny to see her just sitting in there playing. Our little girl sure is getting good at standing. She pulls herself up and balances by herself. She even took two steps the other day. Aaahhhh!! My baby is growing up!!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mommas day everyone. Well, all the moms anyways. So , this year Avery gave me such a cute Mothers Day gift. This morning we were playing on the ground and she just started crawling. It was so cute and about time. She has been rolling around and scooting around for a while now and had mastered going backwards, but she finally did it. Yeah for Avery. Its been a few days now and she is already trying to stand up on her own. I kinda figured she wouldn't crawl for long. It sure is cute though.


So Avery has been doing this face lately and I had to get it on camera. It is like she is feeling her teeth with her lip or something. It is funny because she will be playing on the ground talking away and suddenly she stops and sure enough she is making this face.
