The Silvester Family

Baby Nora

Well, she is here. Nora Grace Silvester was born on December 19th, 2011. She was actually the same weight and length as Avery weighing in at 6lbs 15oz and 19 1/2 inc long. Her entrance was slightly dramatic both for me and for little Nora. At my last Dr appointment I found out that this little bugger was breech. I was quite scared seeing as I was planning for a normal delivery and I knew that most breech babies ended up being c-section. I was already dilated to a 3 so my Dr scheduled me for an ECV and potentially a c-section if that did not work. I had no idea what an ECV was, but the Dr explained that he would manually try to turn the baby from the outside. AAAAHHHHH! Anyways, I decided I was going to try to do everything that I could to help the baby turn on her own. I sat with my hips elevated, I saw a chiropractor, and a couple other things that just plain did not work. I was basically freaking out. So, we packed our bags and on Monday morning we showed up to the hospital and the fun began. To prep me for the procedure, they gave me a muscle relaxer and an epidural. It was pretty intense to watch my Dr turn this baby and to my surprise, it worked. I felt a huge wave in my stomach and this cute little thing moved, so they induced me on the spot. I was pretty emotional at this point as you can imagine. My contractions started without a problem and not too much later my water broke. As the Dr and nurse were checking my progression they noticed that the baby's head was just not coming down as fast as they had hoped. Turned out her little hand was over her head and every time the nurse checked me the baby would grab her finger. Super cute, but not so good for delivery. So, the Dr had to reach his hand up and move her hand out of the way!! After that she came fast. Within a few pushes she was out. Problem was now was the cord was around her neck and she was not breathing. This little girl was seriously giving me a heart attack. They finally got her to breath but had to take her to the nursery to observe her. She did fine and I got to hold her about 2 hours later. In the nursery they found a heart murmur and a hip click, both of which have gone away since. After all of that we have a beautiful baby girl that we could not love more. Avery and June are being great big sisters and they just love our little Nora. We shall see how mommy adjusts to having three kids.

Utah Trip

last month we made the treck to Utah to visit Jeff's parents and a few of his brothers and their families. We woke the kids up pretty early in the morning and headed out. The girls actually did pretty good on the way up due to some major distractions, namely the DVD player and lost of books and games. We got to stay with Uncle Kenny and Aunt Cassie and their girls Maggie and Olivia. Avery and June had so much fun with them and they are still asking if they can go back and play with their cousins and their cousins cat. It was great to see so much family and friends while we were there. We also go to celebrate June's birthday with all the Utah family. She was so cute opening some presents and cuting into the big rainbow cake that she wanted. The girls also got to experience some snow one morning when they woke up, which they loved. We were able to go to lunch with my old friend Alicia and her little family and visit with my sister Corin also my Aunt and Uncle. The way home was a little more of a disaster, but we did make it back. We got stuck in a snow storm and the girls totally threw up in the car. All in all, we had a great time visiting family and cant wait to see them again.

Halloween

This year for Halloween the girls somehow got it in their minds that they wanted to be Peter Pan and Tiger Lilly. It was actually quite cute becuase they were running around for like a month prior to Halloween playing these characters. They were very excited when they could actually be Peter Pan and Tiger Lilly. It's potty time again

Potty training, oh potty training. I was not prepared for what this little one threw my way. Avery was such an easy potty trainer that I just did not expect for such a fight. Anyways, I was determined to get June out of diapers before another little one came into our family. It is just about a month later and June is doing much better. I have just learned that it is totally up to her and I have to find diferent things every day to motivate her. She loves to go potty on the toilet but also has no problem just peeing on the floor. Oh our little stubborn one. We sure do love her and are so proud of the progress that she is making and I am happy to say that we will only have one kid in diapers. Woo!

First day of School

Another school year is upon us. Avery is back at pre school and is loving every minute of it, just like last year.

Avery is 4

Avery turned 4 back on September 6th, and yes, I am just getting around to semi blogging about it. I have been waiting to post about her birthday because I wanted to wait until we had her 4 year old picture done, but those wont be ready for a few weeks. Anyways, Avery wanted donuts for her breakfast on her birthday, so she went with daddy to pick some out. She is in love with horses, so she asked grandma and grampa for a big horse for her birthday and she just loves it. The weekend before her birthday we went camping for the weekend and we had a little mountain party for her. She wanted potatoes and cucumbers for her birthday dinner. And she opened presents from mom and dad and Ki and Hugo. We got her a kid proof digital camera and Ki and Hugo got her some bug catching gear. She had so much fun running around in her gear and taking pictures of everything. I still hear her talking about how much fun she had in the mountains. A week later she had a party with all her firends. It was a swim party complete with some fun games and just kids having a good time. We just love our 4 year old and are so proud and blessed to be her parents. More to come about Avery as soon as we get her pictures done.

Pumpkin Patch

Avery's class took a trip to the Punpkin Patch this year. I just love going with her on her school trips and I know June does too. The girls got to play in the corn box and pick out a pumpkin. It was a fun morning with my girls.

When we got home from Avery's field trip she found a furry caterpillar crawling on the house and she wanted to keep him for a pet. She named him Mr. Fuzzy pants and kept him in a bowl in her room for a few days. She decided that she should let him go because he was eating and pooping a lot. Silly girl.

We later painted the punpkins that the girls picked out for our family night. I think they had more fun painting themselves and their paint shirts.

Another day

Our girls are cute, right? I tend to think so. They were just looking too cute the other day, I just had to take some pictures.

The girls love washing the car with me. I think its mostly the whole getting soaking wet and the bubbles that interests them because they don't do a whole lot of washing. But they sure have fun.

A few weeks ago we took Junes binky away. It has been quite an ordeal. Our once great sleeping baby, is having some struggles. I just wanted to get some picture of her with her binky and fuzzy before it was no more. She loves to put her fuzzy around her head and walking around. Its pretty cute, and I think I am mostly sad because she is sooo sweet. Oh my baby is not so much a baby any more.

I feel like Avery is just growing up and the time is slipping away from me. She is getting so big and is doing so many grown up things. She has the funniest vocabulary and says the most random things. I love just talking to her and letting her tell me whats on her mind.
*Horses- The love/obsession of horses continues. She just loves them. It is a constant request that I play horses with her and she has all the props to make it happen. She uses whatever she can as reins and she usually wants to get on my back and ride around. I wish there were words to describe her lovely horse noise, but there are not, so just trust me when I say that it is a treat for the ears.
*Mommy- Avery loves mommy time. Goodness. I am always being asked to play with her or read to her or have her help me.
*Swimming- This little girl is AMAZING!! I tell you what! This last week she has mastered her front flip, which she is very proud of. If you cant find Avery, she is in the pool!
*Buddies- Can I just say that Avery is a social butterfly. Every time we go the park, she comes away with like 5 new friends. She just loves to play with older kids and asks to play with the older friends more than those her own age.
*Prayers- I love little kids and their sweet prayers. Averys include asking for a colored horse named spirit and a power wheel car with doors, because the ones without doors just don't cut it.
*Singing- Avery loves to sing and listen to songs and she actually remembers them really well.
*Silly things- I love being silly with my girls!! But Avery is the queen of saying silly things. I asked Avery the other day if I could go potty in her bathroom because daddy was in ours. She followed my into the bathroom like usual and proceeded to show me what to do. As soon as I sat down she said,"OK mom, now you just let her rip!" Hahaha!!
Avery told me the other day that bad guys are her favorite. When I asked her why, she said that she didn't know, only that Jesus made her to like them. We talked about it for a minute and when we could not agree she said,"well mom, it looks like I am the expert on this one." My little lady is growing up on me. I just love her!

June is such a sweetie!! She is just a sensitive little thing, but sooo happy and smiling. Every where we go I always get comments on how happy she is. Some things that June is up to lately..
*Princesses- she loves to dress up and to play with the little polly pocket princesses. We always find her with a princess in hand.
*Freeze- I dont know how this caught on, but she loves to say freeze and watch everyone stay still for a minute and then they just does it over and over.
*Ghost- June always walks around with her blanket over her head and says that she is a ghost. She literally runs into walls and everything else.
*Reading- I always find this girl reading books. She would sit forever and read her stories.
*Talking- This girl's vocabulary has just exploded over the last few months. She pretty much says everything. She knows all her colors, animals (complete with noises), and loves to sing.
*Buzz shirt- This little lady insists on wearing her buzz shirt to bed. The outfit is usually complete with princess pants, but the buzz shirt is a must.
How we love our little June. We do like to say that this girl has some rage in her though. She will be totally happy and fine and then there is screaming for some reason and usually Avery comes crying saying that June has hit her or pulled her hair. Gotta love sisterly love. June is doing great in the pool. We never put floaties on her and she is doing great on her own. She loves putting her face in and jumping off the wall and going down the slide. Cute little fish.

Lately

Out girls love playing outside, but it just gets so hot here that water has to be involved. The girls have been playing in the little kiddie pool and jumping on the trampoline as I spray them with the hose.

Tats,tats and more tats. I accidentally bought a sheet of tattoos at the dollar store, but it turned out to be a hit. The girls ALWAYS have tats on their stomach and love to show everyone. June started with feeding her tats at every meal and it caught on. Silly girls!

I walked in on this one day.... I dont quite know what is going on, but it was pretty cute. Something about a dog in a boat, hummm. Silly girls!

The River

A few miles away from our house runs the Kings River and we are taking advantage of it. Friends of ours found a spot where there is a nice beach and just about a foot of water. The girls have a great time running around and just getting dirty. I gotta say its nice to sorta have a beach atmosphere close by.

Painting

My girls have really taken to water painting lately. It started with Avery really wanting to paint and now June just wants to too. Avery's painting have actually really started to look like something now and Junes, well, she just paints. Some examples of Avery's painting include; dragon with fire, girl with blond hair, but I don't have blond paint, so I will just use yellow, and guy with crazy eyes.

Monster shirts

Whenever my friend Caitlin comes into town she always gets the girls something cute. This time she got them blank shirts and these iron on make your own monster kits. The girls had a fun time making them and now they don't want to take the dang things off. June has named her shirt some random noise that she makes and Avery's is named Pinkie. Silly little girls.

Bamba

These little ladies love smoothies and the love helping make them. Its really cute to hear June wake up in the morning and ask for a "bamba" or a Jamba Juice. The girls then run into the kitchen and help pull out the blender and all the ingredients and then sit on the counter and help put it all together. I am pretty sure they would have a smoothie every day,

4th of July

Our holiday weekend was great this year! We had a fun BBQ with some family and friends and followed it with some fireworks. All the girls did was swim in the pool, which is not surprising at all. Avery and June both loved watching the fireworks and playing with their sparklers. After fireworks were over, we took the girls home and put them to bed and then Jeff and I had some friends over for some more festivities. Over all it was a great weekend, so much so that Avery keeps asking if each night since is the 4th of July.

Zoo

We had a nice break in the 100 degree weather and we decided to spend the day at the zoo. The girls had a great time running around and looking at all the animals. I think that our favorite part was the little baby monkeys that we got to see. We probably spent at least 20 minutes looking at those little guys! My girls are such good girls and were so fun to take to the zoo.

Graduation

Avery had her little promotion graduation last week. I was actually not going to take her but when we showed up for school the day before the kids had practiced two songs to sing and Avery was quite excited to go. I am glad that we did because it was cute to see her singing with her friends and having fun.

Dairy

Avery's class took a field trip to a cow dairy down the street a little while ago. The kids had so much fun petting and feeding the baby cows. Especially because my girls just love animals!

Bike

Oh how Avery loves her new bike!! Jeff took Avery to the store yesterday to pick out her bike and then brought it home and put it together. She has basically been riding it non stop since yesterday. After Jeff put it together Avery and I went for a ride. Well, she rode and I ran next to her and she rode for like an hour. She keeps saying that she just wants to go in the garage and look at her bike, sit on it, and take some more pictures.

Ballet

I signed Avery up for a community ballet class a few months ago. Ballet is really not her thing, but I figured that it would be good for her. Turns out I was right. She had a hard time the first few classes staying and finishing the class, but now she does great. She had her first recital a few weeks ago and turns out that I suck a little bit. Apparently I forgot to sign her up to be in the recital and when we showed up her teacher said that she could not be in it. When Avery saw all her buddies in her class she ran to them and totally pumped them up, so her teacher said that she could join in. She did great and we couldn't be more proud of our little one.

Hairs

Tangled, or as June calls it, Hairs has become a little bit of an obscession aound the house these days. Avery wanted to get the Rapunzle dress and wig when she saved up enough money, but we decided on just the dress and that we would just make some hair. It sure was a hit. She just ties it in her hair and she turns into Rapunzle. She loves to swing from her hair on her swing, sing to me, and just run around and "let down her hair". All little girls need this in their dress up box!

We had a wonderful Easter this year. After church we had dinner at my parents and an egg hunt for the girls. Avery did most of the finding and June did most of the eating. Our girls are so sweet and it was wonderful to see them having so much fun.

Bananna head

June LOVES banannas and can literally eat a whole bananna in like a minute. It is actually quite impressive. She just shoves it in her mouth. I also wanted to get a picture of June reading her books. Tea and crazy cakes

Oh my little Avery...

Avery spilled water all over her clothes after we were playing tea party and was upset that she spilled all of her tea. She wanted all her clothes off because they were all wet. So she took them off and went and sat on the couch while I cleaned up. I turn around and she has her head in her hands and she said, "hurry up mom, all my friends cant see me like this".

The other day June was walking around in high heels and stepped on Avery's leg. I told June to be careful where she was walking and then I asked Avery if she was ok. She said, "No biggie mom, I'm all about families".

I told Avery the other morning during breakfast that she makes more of a mess on the floor than her baby sister. she said, "Wow mom, that was insensitive."

An Avery prayer: "Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for all my silly band bracelets. I know I am not wearing them right now, but I will be sure to get them on in the morning. Amen".

I love my little crazy cakes. She is getting too big too fast.

Trampoline in the rain

I always remember going outside in the rain to jump on the trampoline when I was a kid. We always put garbage bags on our feet and jumped around for hours. It was so much fun, I thought I would let Avery in on the fun. I'm having a hard time remembering why garbage bags on out feet were so crucial... oh well, she had fun!

Snow Day

Since Avery just loved the snow last year, we decided that we would take another trip this year. Its safe to say that it did not go as well as expected. The kids hated it this year. I am guessing that it was because the snow was really deep and they could not walk around very well, but I dont know. Avery and June mostly just ate snow and wanted to be held. We also fulfilled our wonderful snowman building tradition and added sofa building to the mix. Overall we had a good time and I am hoping that next year they will enjoy the snow again.

I am pretty sure that the majority of time both of the girls were just eating snow.

Jeff has taken up Leather making as a hobby. He mostly makes holsters for guns but this year for Christmas he made a pair of sandals for Corin. The Bomb.com! He did such a good job...and I cant wait for mine!

Christmas Day

We had a great and mellow Christmas this year. We woke up Christmas morning and the girls opened their stockings and then we headed over to my parents house for breakfast and then presents. Avery got Zoobles this year, June got a walking kitty, both girls got a trampoline from my parents and Jeff and I got bikes. With the help of Grandma, Avery got everyone a present and decorated the boxes. It was very cute to have her help everyone open their box. That evening for Christmas dinner we made and served dinner for the women's shelter here in town. We had a wonderful Christmas and it was a great way to end the year.

Christmas Eve treasure hunt

We had our traditional treasure hunt this year for the kids, which only really involves Avery right now. She had fun finding all the clues and finally her present. We had a nice Christmas Eve also. Jeff and I hosted this year and we had soups and bread. It was all very delicious and I think that we are going to make Christmas Eve at our house another tradition.

I remember when I was a kid we just loved going to the school around the corner and run through the water puddles. Its just Hanfords idea of snow. The girls just loved it and we will definently be going back soon.

June is 1

June turned 1 on November 3rd and boy has the year flown by. She is just the sweetest and happiest baby and we are lucky to have her. June is still a little explorer and loves to pull things out of drawers, purses and just about anything. I love finding her toys in the kitchen drawers when I go to put away the dishes. she loves pictures. One of our daily activities is looking at all the pictures on the wall and on my phone. She loves to dance. If this girl feels a beat the wants to be put down so that she can dance it out! She is growing more and more everyday and I can tell that she understands so much now. Some of her words include mamma, daddda, bannana, shoe, and fish. I love that she is able to do things herself like put her toys away and go get the book or the blanket. Which brings me to another obsession of hers, her blanket. She just loves fuzzy blankets! Our sweet baby is just too skinkin cute. She loves to come running into the bathroom when she hears the bath water come on and loves taking baths with her big sis. We love you baby June!

The Zoo

The Zoo is the perfect place for our Animal loving girls! The just cant get enough of all the animals. In fact, forget the zoo because Avery had more fun chasing around all the squirrels. We decided that the should have a room full of squirrels so that the kids can just go in there and chase them.

Halloween

For Halloween this year Avery had many thing that she wanted to be but a "girl shark" was the one that stuck. June on the other hand, just loves these kitty cat ears, so it was easy. We went to our churches trunk or treat this year and I seriously think that it was the first time that June has been awake and outside at night. She just could not stop looking up at the stars and pointing. The girls loved walking around and Avery was just thrilled to find Nemo! After the trick or treating there was a little family dance, which was so fun for the girls. Over all it was a pretty good Halloween.

Crazy Hair Day

On the last day of school before Halloween, Avery's school had a little carnival. The kids were able to wear a funny hat or sport some crazy hair. Avery had fun showing her sister her stomping ground and getting her face painted.

Pumpkin Patch

I had so much fun going to the pumpkin patch this year with Avery's preschool class. It was nice to spend some one on one time with my little pumpkin. We had so much fun running around the corn maze and hanging out with Avery's little friends.

Avery is Three, WOW! We love her so much and are just so blessed to have her in our lives. I feel so lucky to be her mother; to get to be the one to spend so much time with her. Just some fun facts about Avery:
*She loves to play dress up. For her Birthday this year she requested princess dresses of all variety.
*She is still as sassy as ever.
*She is our animal lover. I think that we get weekly reminders that we do not have a puppy or a kitty or a horse. Maybe even a shark that could live in the bathtub.
*What a Ham! Avery loves to be the center of attention and is not shy in the least.
*She is still our busy little bee. I wish I could bottle up her energy and sell it because she has it to spare.
*She loves to make her sister laugh.
*"Big" or her blankie is still her favorite thing.
*Smarty Pants. Avery knows all her ABC's and the sounds they make and can count to 20! Go Avery!
*She loves to sing and she makes up songs about pretty much everything. She remembers words in songs very easily and can recognise lost of artists and their songs. Its quite cute.
*She is going to be our little soccer star. She just loves to play soccer in the backyard.
*She is growing just fine and is 31 lbs and 38 Inc.

The Big 3

Avery turned three on the 6th of this month and there are some dang cute picture soon to come. But while you all wait, here is a little bit of Avery to hold you over.

I was getting Avery out of the tub last night and she wanted her robe on. So while I was tying it up she pointed to here little boobie and said, "well mommy, isn't this just the cutest little boobie ever?!!" Ha! Love it!

Pre School

Avery started Pre School this last Tuesday and she was so excited. I think that she has been taking about it for months now asking when she gets to go back to her school. She loved using the little toilet and sink and I think that her exact words were, "mommy, look at these super cute little baby toilets! Are they for me?". Avery pretty much loves it and it is a nice little break for mommy and June. We do miss our sis and are happy to go pick her up at the end of school.

I dont really know what she is doing here, but she is excited! She is our little crazy cakes.

As you can see from these next few pictures, Avery had no problems assimilating. Which made it not so bad dropping her off.

Avery loved having Talen at school with her. It just makes it so much easier when you already have a friend.

10 Months

Our sweet baby June is 10 months old this month. She is the sweetest most sensitive baby in the world and we love her so much. At her 10 month appointment she weighed in at 23 lbs and 12 oz and was 30 inc long. Its pretty safe to say that she is growing just fine and is still our chubby bunny. We are starting to her her sweet baby babbling, which includes mamma, dadda, and babba. We love our little June Bug.

Exploring and getting into everything. June is our little persistent explorer. Once she finds something that she wants, there is just no stopping her from playing with it. Even if it is the toilet, or the dirty shoes on the floor. We have to put everything away from this one.

Big Sis is Junes best friend (please excuse Averys face, for some reason this is the new smile). Now I cant say that the feelings are mutual, but we are working on that as well as the smile. June just loves Avery and no one can make her smile more.

Standing, cruising,and a few little steps. I am just waiting for her to take off and full blown walk any day now. She loves to stand up and walk and its pretty cute to watch her.

Biting, chewing, and eating everything. Including these lovely chunk of crib that June ate as a bedtime snack. She really is a great eater and it sure makes feeding her really simple.

Tahoe

A couple of weeks ago we packed up the car and headed to Tahoe for the week. My parents decided to rent a cabin and so it was a perfect time for a vacation. We rented bicycles to ride around Tahoe and the girls just loved them. From kayaking to horseback riding, it was a wonderful week spent with family.

Bounce House

We have been toying with the idea of a trampoline for a while now, but we just could now find one that we wanted and frankly our kids are still a little young for one. So, we settled for a bounce house for the time being. The girls love it!

Remember the baby frogs from a few posts ago? Well, look how big they are now! We have a little blow up pool in the back yard and Avery just loves to swim with Fred the frog and baby sis. I think that we have traumatized him with all the swimming because now he hides from us when we try to get him out of his hole.

Our holiday was nice and quite this year. My parents neighborhood hosted a block party which was complete with a water slide and bounce house, so we took the girls for a little while. We had a good time chasing Avery around and playing with our little June.

8 Months

What is new this month you ask? Well, crawling for starters. June has been itching to really crawl these past few weeks and she had been scooting and rolling but this last week she just shot off. I found her standing up in her crib the other day when I went in to get her from her nap, so I guess it is time to move the crib down. We have also got 4 little teeth on this little chomper and she sure does love to use them. Forget baby food, this girl just wants whatever is on your plate, which actually makes it quite nice to feed her. She is still just as sweet as ever and she never ceases to make us smile. Obviously she is all about her mamma:) and now fusses pretty good if I am in the room and am not holding her, but all and all, we have a great baby girl.

Swim Lessons

These last two weeks Avery had swim lessons and I am proud to say that she did great. She has always loved the pool, but I could tell at the start of this summer that her little head was starting to understand that water can be scary and that without her floaties something could happen. The frist few lessons were a little rough, but she plowed right through the two weeks and did awesome. She now swims without floaties of any kind and can jump in and swim to the side as well as across the pool without help. Of coarse, she is still just under 3 so I am always in the pool with her to help her, but we are very proud of our little fish.

For the last year or so I have been taking Avery to the local Gymnastic Academy. I think that she is still too young to take a class but they have a free play every frieday for an hour. It is the perfect release of energy for this little one and she has such a good time on the trampolines and all the other equipment they have set up.

Sacramento

We decided to head to Sacramento for a few days so that I could go to one of my good friends wedding. We headed up a few days early and visit with some other friends. An old room mate of mine offered to let us stay with her for a day or so and we were excited to see her and let our kids play. Avery loved playing with Sam and Cali and kept asking to stay another night with her new friends. But what trip is not complete without some drama? We ended up having to take our little June to the Er on Thursday night. The week before we left on our trip she had been having mild fevers on and off. I did not really think anything of it because she it cutting teeth and that is totally normal for her. But after we arrived on Thursday night her fever was 102 with Tylenol, we could not get her to stop screaming and her soft spot was bulging. My first thought was Meningitis and I could not wait through the night wondering, so we took her in. The Dr. ran some tests and it turns out that she had a UTI. Poor little thing. She was a trooper through the whole thing and we are glad to have our happy little baby back with us.

I had the wonderful opportunity to go to Kristin and Marc's sealing in the Sacramento temple. She looked so beautiful and it was so good to see her and catch up with some old friends.

We spent the second half of our trip with some family friends up the hill from Sacramento. Avery woke up early on Sunday so her and I went exploring. I would love to live up in the beautiful rolling hills. Avery and I had fun looking for lizards and just running around.

Froggies, Bubbles and Berries

When I was growing up my mom would take us to the park during the early summer and we would come home with loads of baby frogs. As kids we just loved our new pets and by the time we were sick of them it was time for them to go in the garden to eat bugs and snails. The perfect pet. So, I took Avery to the park this year and we came home with loads of baby frogs. She just loved it.

Now that we finally have some grass in the backyard it has been fun to spend some time there. Bubbles are always a hit for Avery.

We love Strawberry season! We have a fruit stand right around the corner and I get a little reminder from the back seat every time we drive past the fruit stand that we need to get some berries. I got home one day and set the container on the counter and turned my head for a sec and this is what I found.

Little miss crazy cakes

We were at church the other day and I was trying to get the girls together and out to the car. Avery was running around like a crazy person and I was chasing after her holding June. When I caught up to her I decided that the only way to get out of there was to hold both of the girls and my two church bags. Anyways, we stopped to talk to some people and it wasn't till about 10 mins later that I realized Avery was being really still... and you all know what that means, TROUBLE! She was also playing with my neck. I reached up and felt my neck and what do I find? Boogers! and lots of them. I shocking asked Avery what she was doing and so matter of factly she said ,"oh mom, I am just wiping my boogers on your neck, but its ok mom." AAAHHH! I just want to say a thank you to all the people that warned me of the collage of boogers on my neck.

Avery was being little miss sassy pants the other day and I started to get after her. I was stopped mid sentence with this lovely number. "Mom, you need to be nice to me because I am super Avery." Yes you are my dear, yes you are. Whatever was I thinking.

"Hey mom, I am going to go peepee in the toilet and close the door so that I can be naughty and make a pile of toilet paper on the floor." Thanks Avery, I appreciate the honesty.

6 months old

Out little cupcake is 6 months old. Oh, how the time goes by so fast! June is such a sweet baby and we just love having her in our little family. As you can see in some of the pics, she has two little teeth! She got them a few weeks ago, and it is pretty cute to see them when she smiles. Speaking of smiling, she is such a smiley baby. Everyone always comments on how happy and smiley she is. June hates it when you mess with her face; she twists and turns her head until you are done messing with her. And last but not least, she is on the verge of crawling. I always catch her on hands and knees rocking back and forth. Love it! Disney on Ice

A while back my Mom and sister and I took Avery and June to see Disney on Ice. Its safe to say that it was a hit. Avery loved wearing a princess dress and getting to see all the Lion King, Little Mermaid, and Cars characters.

Raw Milk

I have very dairy sensitive babies and because of this we have had to explore other options. Doing this we stumbled upon Raw Milk. We found a reputable dairy called Organic Pastures in our area and decided to visit. Avery loved petting the calf's and letting them suck on her fingers.

If anyone wants or need more info on Raw milk, let me know. It is pretty awesome stuff.

The other day Avery was trying on some of Jeffs shoes and they were not going on as easily as she would have hoped. So, what does she say in her moment of frustration? "Freekin Crap!" Yes, my child said freekin crap. I better watch what I say.

Sometimes I let Avery drive on my lap the last 100 yards or so to the house (I know, I am a bad mom). Anyways, she actually drives and loves to turn the wheel, which means that I have to keep correcting her. She kept pushing my hands away and when she finally had enough she said, "MOM, your drivin me nuts!" What do I do with this one?

Chips and Salsa

I have really come to love spending time in the kitchen with Avery. It has really come as more of a necessity than anything, but none the less, I have come to look forward to it. She enjoys helping me and I have to cook, so it just works out. One of our favorite things to make and to eat is salsa. She loves to stir the bowl and obviously just sit on the counter with me afterwards and eat! We love our crazy Avery; whom we just signed up for preschool...aaahhh! Is she already there? Where did the time go. It was so cute to take her and tour the school. She loved her little classroom and I just could not get over how cute the little Minnie bathrooms were. Its safe to say that she is really excited and cant wait. Till then we will continue to make chips and salsa.

We had a nice and quite Easter this year. We spent it here in Hanford with my parents, my sister Ki and her husband Hugo. It started to rain in the later afternoon, so we actually ended up doing the egg hunt inside the house. This has been the first year that I can remember that it has been so cold and wet on Easter. I am not so much a fan, but we had a wonderful day together.

It turns out that it is really hard to take pictures of a 2 1/2 year old while holding a squirmy 4 month old. I have been wanting to take some pictures of the girls while the trees are in blossom, but we were a little late on the uptake. All the trees were sparse and it totally started to rain on us. Oh well. Next year I will do better.

Spring Time

Spring time this year has been a little crazy weather wise. We will have some really cold days and then the next day it will be mid 70's. But it is consistently getting nicer and nicer outside, which means lots of outside time. Avery and I agree that there is no better place then outside.

And Avery is going to be the cause. We went up to Fresno the other day to go to Trader Joes and Toys R us. On the way we picked up my sis and headed to run our errands. We started talking about someone that we knew that had chunked up quite a bit in the last year and Avery wanted to know what we were talking about. So, I just told her that we were talking about a little fatty like baby sis. When we got to Toys R us we got out of the car and headed into the store. A little bit larger lady walked in front of us and what does Avery say? "Hey Fatty!" Luckily I dont think that the lady quite heard or understood what she said. Anyways, we just made sure that we avoided her while we were there. Next time, since I know that there will be a next time, I hope I dont get beat up.

I have got to be better at taking pictures of this little one. I just forgot how fast they change and how quickly the time goes. June will be 4 months in a few days and she is a whooping 18 pounds. She loves to babble and smile which makes it so hard to put her to bed or to feed her when she wont stop smiling. She is our sunshine.

Avery is getting to the point where she is exploring her own body. She loves to look at the birthmark on her tummy and loves to point out all the lovely moles on mine. Yesterday she was so excited because she found a little mole on her foot. When I asked her where it came from she said, "oh, you know, I just got it at Target... No, wait, at Marshalls."

Avery has a tendency to get frustrated very easily (wonder where she got that? From me). Anyways, I always have to tell her to stop freekin out. Well, she climbed onto the couch and was sitting right on top of her blanket and she was trying to pull it out. It was not coming out as easily as she had expected, so what does she do, she starts getting frustrated. She keeps trying and trying and I finally ask her whats going on and she says, "Mom, I'm just freekin out". Oh, my little Avery.

And the heavyweight champion is...June! Seriously, those pics below are real. She just had her 2 month check up and she was 15 1/2 lbs and 24 inc long. That basically puts her in the 110% for weight. I just make some fat babies. She really is doing good though. I must say that she is our little sensitive one. I can already tell by the looks that she gives me sometimes that something must have just hurt her little feelings. Its so sad. But she is a little talker and a little smiler and we are blessed to have her.

The other morning Avery and I were in my room changing June's diaper. Avery was jumping on the bed and all the sudden she stopped and said, "Hey little girl..um.. don't touch that squirrel's nuts, you'll make him crazy." It seriously took a second to register what she just said, but when I remembered that we were watching Willie Wonka (the one with Johnny Depp) the other day, I was just dying!

I was doing laundry the other day and all of Avery's clothes were sorted and folded and ready to be put away. I went in the other room to put my clothes away and when I came back she had her panties all over the place and was in the middle of putting on a pair. I asked Avery what was going on and she just said that all of the other panties were broken and they didn't work. My, my... who ever does not like two year olds, you need to come play with mine for a while. I wish that I could capture all these cute little things on video because they are priceless.

This year for Christmas Eve we decided to pass a tradition onto Avery. Usually my parents put together a treasure hunt for us but it is time to pass the torch to the grand kids. This was Avery's first year. She was so cute looking for her clues and finally finding her presents.

We put Avery in the bath the other night and I was on the couch feeding June when we heard Avery crying and saying ,"oh no, oh no." Jeff went to check on her and she was all flustered and said that it was raining in the bath tub. Apparently she had pulled the button to change the bath tub to the shower.

The other day Avery was being sassy to her daddy and he started to get after her, she stopped him and said, "Daddy, be nice. No yelling at me, ok." Now how do you punish her after that?

Having two girls is so much fun!! As you can see by the massive amount of neck rolls, our little June bug is doing just fine. She will be two months in a week and I am anxious to see how much this little chunk weighs. Avery is getting better and better with her little sis and I am so glad that she is such a wonderful girl. We are excited for Christmas and Avery has been trying to open her presents under the tree everyday. We cant wait!

Past few weeks

Well here we are again, back to life with a newborn. June is such a blessing to have in our home. She has the sweetest disposition and is being so good for her mamma. I am hoping that this trend will continue! She is growing like a little weed, which is wonderful. When she was born she weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and then went down to 7 lbs 11 oz a few days later. I took her in to get weighed less than a week later and she was a whooping 9 lbs. Its pretty safe to say that she is eating just fine. She is sleeping just like a dream also (knock on wood). I am hoping that this remains a trend. Avery has really adjusted well to having a little sis around the house. Not that I was really worried that she would go crazy or anything, I just did not want her to feel like I had abandoned her. But she has been doing great. The first week or so she did not really want anything to do with June, but as the days go by she is getting better and better at paying attention to her sis and talking to her. The other day June was getting fussy and crying and Avery came to me and said,"Mamma, June is hungry she eat a boobie." She cracks me up. We have been wanting to get Avery a trampoline for a while now and we finally found one that was cheap enough. It has been wonderful to have for such an active child, plus it keeps her occupied while momma is feeding sis. We just had to catch a couple of videos of her doing her thing.

So, since the pain on labor was just not enough for me, I decided to get my wisdom teeth out a week after I had June. Kidding, the pain was plenty, but apparently I must have pushed so hard that I pushed my wisdom teeth out as well. The day that I had June my wisdom teeth came through and it was hurting pretty bad. I could not even open my mouth all the way because there was no room for them to come in and they were pushing on my jaw. Anyways, I went to the dentist and he said that they needed to come out and that he had an appointment the next day or after Christmas. So, there I was the next day. I tell you what though, I was more scared to get these dumb teeth out than I was to be induced. I only had upper wisdom teeth so it only took he like 5 mins to get teeth out, but man it sucked. Here is a picture of my teeth.... I know you all want to see them! Daddy has been such a wonderful help and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. It has been such a good thing having another baby in the house because it has really helped Avery bond more to her daddy. Before the baby came Avery was all about mamma, not that it has really changed, but she takes to daddy so much better now that they have been spending more time together. We are so lucky to have such a good daddy!

The Story

We are so excited to have our little June bug here with us. And let me just say that her enterence was a lot less tramatic than her sisters. I had been seeing the doctor every week for the month of October. The monday before Halloween I had an appointment and found out that I was already dilated to a 4, which was a shocker considering at this point with Averys delivery I was asking for my epidural. Anyways, my doctor said that if I did not have the baby by Halloween that I should come back and schedule an induction. Halloween passed and still no baby so I had an induction scheduled for Nov 3. We got to the hospital at 6:30 am and got checked in. By 7:30 the doctor had given me medication to soften and thin out my cervix. He said to see how that goes and since I was already a 4, he did not think that I would need pitocin. Well he was right. About 9:30 my contractions were pretty close together and pretty strong, so I started to walk around to get thing moving and after about 5 mins of that my water broke. They checked me again and I went from a 6to ready to push in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later at 10:17 am our little girl was here. She was so beautiful and so big! She weighed 8 lbs 3 oz and was 20 1/2 inc long. We are so happy and so blessed. Thank you everyone for your prayers!

Avery Rose

Our little Avery turned 2 at the beginning of September and if its possible, we love her more and more every day. It is such a wonderful experience being a mother and watching your child grow. I just cant imagine missing a minute of this. Here are some fun facts about Avery.
* She is one busy little bee and is constantly in motion, which is nicer now that she is mobile.
* The only vegetables she will eat consciously are salsa and ketchup.
* She loves stuffed animals. There are a solid 6 animals in her crib at any given time. They all get names and have been pretty much everywhere with her.
* Her fuzz, or blankie is a must to go to sleep.
* She rocks the toilet all by herself
* She loves to read stories and can remember everything about them.
* She knows her colors loves to describe everything that she sees with a color and a size. If it is big, its a big mamma.
* Her love of sharks and buzz lightyear is shocking.
* She loves to watch disney movies and can remember all the songs, which she wants me to sing back to her non-stop. Some of her favorites are Mulan, King Fu Panda, Toy Story, and Lion King.
* She loves to get her back scratched and will ask me to snuggle with her and do some scratchies.
* I have to say that she is one of the happiest kids I have every met.
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful little girl and are so blessed to be able to watch her grow and be part of her sweet little life thus far.

37ish weeks and 1 cm

We are getting closer!! Everyone keeps asking if I am excited and ready to be done being pregnant, but I am actually quite content. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to not pee every hour, or be able to breathe, or go running, but I am just cherishing this time. We are definitely excited to meet our new little girl. I am doing good still but feel like my stomach has exploded these last few days. I saw the doctor last week and all is well. He said that I am dilated 1 cm and counting, so maybe this little girl will be here sooner than expected. I hope I can get all my projects done!!

A few weeks ago we made a trip to IKEA, which can be dangerous basically because I want everything there, but I did restrain. I did make one impulse purchase and bought a swing for Avery's room. She just loves swinging like a monkey at the park and was so excited that she can now swing in her room. I could not get a very good picture of her doing her thing, but I did my best. A video would have been better, oh well.

Funny girl

Avery's vocabulary has really grown lately, which makes for some very funny conversations. We were making our weekly rounds at Target the other day and stopped in the lingerie section to check out some clearance. Pretty quickly Avery took off and I could tell that something caught her eye. She came running around the corner with a leopard print bra in tote and the biggest grin on her face. As she proceeded to put the bra on, she said, "WOAH mommy, Lion King boobies!". I was dying. So many of my friends have told me that when your child starts to talk that you are so excited but then they don't stop talking and you wish they would. I am going to have to disagree. Avery cracks me up!

Potty training!

We did it, officially! I decided that it would probably be easier to have only one baby in diapers at a time, so off to potty training. Avery did great and caught on really fast. Its pretty safe to say that she is doing amazing and I will only have one baby in diapers!! Yeah!! I am so proud of my little girl!

Last weekend we had Avery's 2nd Brithday party. It was so much fun to have all of her friends over to celebrate. Avery had so much fun playing with her friends, eating ice cream, and opening her presents. We just cant believe that our little munchkin is already 2. There will be more pictures to come and a tribute to our cute girl. We just did her 2 year old pictures and cant wait to post them. But for now, enjoy!

Avery does not like cake so we did Ice Cream and fruit pops. They were a big hit. I have to say that I probably had a solid 3-4 of them.

Lightning Mcqueen

Yes, Lightning Mcqueen is the new big thing in our house. It is shocking how much Avery loves him. She has a little car that she wraps in a blanket or a sock and takes everywhere with her. She feeds him and puts him to bed. It is actually pretty darn cute. We were walking past a Payless shoe store the other day and Avery found these slippers and just about died. I basically had to buy them because she was running all over the store wearing them. I don't know what her obsession is with "boy toys" but she loves them. Another new tree

I have been wanting to make a tree for Avery's room for a long time now and thought that I should get it done before this new baby comes. It is not finished yet because I am planning on putting longer branches on it and some bird nests and birds. But I am pretty happy with it. Thanks to my mom and sister I was able to get done in a few days what would have taken me at least a week by myself.
